SCINERGY Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Field Services Engineering Manager to join a leading business within the renewable energy sector, supporting a fleet of gas engine power generation assets across the South East region.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineering leader with a strong mechanical or electrical background to manage a field-based engineering team responsible for the operation and maintenance of gas engine, power generation, battery storage and renewable energy assets.
The Role
- Driving site reliability, availability and operational performance across renewable energy assets
- Ensuring maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently and to a high technical standard
- Providing technical support and overseeing fault finding, diagnostics and breakdown response activities
- Monitoring equipment performance through SCADA and other operational systems to identify potential issues early
- Raising and managing maintenance work orders through CMMS systems
- Supporting operational budgeting, cost control and performance improvement initiatives
- Working closely with internal departments, contractors, site operators and regulatory bodies
- Conducting regular site audits and maintaining high HSQE standards across all operations
- Managing engineering stock, tooling, vehicles and contractor performance
- Supporting the training, development and mentoring of engineering staff
- Participating in a phone support callout rota
About You
- Mechanical or Electrical Engineering background level 3 or higher
- Previous experience leading engineering teams within a field service or industrial environment
- Good understanding of maintenance operations, fault finding and performance monitoring systems
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Health & Safety conscious with a proactive approach to safe working
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to travel across Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex & Kent
