About the Role
Sci Med is seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead our analytical team, overseeing the Analytik Jena and SYKAM product portfolio across the UK.
The role involves developing new business opportunities, managing customer projects, delivering product demonstrations and training, and collaborating with Marketing to promote the product range through targeted campaigns and events.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new business opportunities across the UK.
- Manage existing sales projects and customer relationships.
- Carry out product demonstrations and customer evaluations.
- Install instruments and provide user training.
- Attend exhibitions, conferences, seminars and roadshows.
- Organise and support product launches and marketing campaigns.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and sales forecasts.
- Work closely with suppliers and provide market feedback.
- Collaborate with the Sales, Marketing and Office teams.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, competitors and market developments.
- Role Requirements
- Minimum three years’ laboratory experience using equipment relevant to the product range.
- Technical knowledge relevant to the products being sold.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Confident negotiation and customer‑facing skills.
- Enthusiastic team player.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout the UK.
- Ability to stay away overnight when required.
- Willingness to travel overseas for supplier training.
- Minimum three years’ technical sales experience within the laboratory sector.
- Degree (or equivalent) in Materials Science or another physical science discipline.
- Experience selling Thermal Analysis or related analytical instrumentation.
- Experience using CRM software.
- Scientists looking to move into a commercial sales role will also be considered.
- Our Benefits Package
- Salary based on experience, basic salary range £45K – £65K pa, plus up to £15K OTE.
- Company car or allowance for private car ownership; fuel for company mileage is reimbursed.
- Contribution to personal pension of 7.5%.
- Health insurance for employee (and family if desired).
- Death in service and long‑term sickness insurance.
- Five weeks holiday, bank holidays and Christmas shutdown.

To achieve success in this position, candidates should ideally be based within a central UK location or within commuting distance of Sci Med’s headquarters in Stockport.
The role requires regular travel throughout the UK and occasional international travel for supplier training.
