About the Role
We’re looking for a new member of the team (currently around 27 people) who is passionate about sales, tech-savvy and understands the Scientific markets. You will be responsible for increasing customer renewal rates, optimizing customer usage, and growing revenue by identifying and developing upsell opportunities through consultative, needs-based account management. You’ll work closely with our Customer Success and SDR teams to maximize account retention and uncover new growth potential. This role focuses on managing a global portfolio of small to mid-market clients (1-200 employees), requiring a well-organised, strong communicator to help customers achieve their goals. Key Responsibilities
- Increase renewals of accounts by building strong relationships and addressing customer needs
- Identify and capitalise on upsell opportunities within existing accounts to drive additional revenue
- Develop and execute strategic account plans to expand usage and adoption across different teams within current customers
- Working closely with the Customer Success and SDR teams to maximize account retention and identify growth opportunities
- Consistently close deals, hitting sales targets and exceeding quota
- Engage with sales and marketing decision makers to demonstrate how SciLeads can drive revenue for their business
- Own, report and forecast sales activity
- Attend Scientific Tradeshows (though only if travel is your thing)
Essential Skills and Experience
- Currently in an Account Management role (with 3-5 years’ prior experience in Sales / Business Development)
- Strong relationship-builder, comfortable owning accounts and thinking long-term
- Life Sciences / Science degree or background
- Experience working in a fast-paced sales environment
- Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- High level of drive and a competitive mindset
- Positive attitude, high energy, and a sense of urgency
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Fluency in one or more additional languages is highly desirable
- Experience in SaaS sales
- Familiarity with sales methodologies such as the Sandler methodology
