Position Summary
We are looking for a Quality Control Inspector to join our busy team on a double day shift pattern (one week working on the early shift, the following working on the late shift). Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting product checks against specified criteria in the Packaging Department
- Reporting any defective products through the raising of Non-Conformance Reports
- Carrying out aesthetic checks on the tickets including perforation, numbering, and registering
- Carrying out a functional test on a full repeat size ticket by removing the scratch off area
- Controlling and using SQIBS to make decisions on the integrity of the product
- Completing and archiving related documentation
- Checking finished products by using a random selection process per pallet
In order to be considered for this role, the successful candidate must have:
- Previous experience gained within a busy Quality Control department
- The ability to prioritise workload and remain calm whilst working under pressure
- Numeracy skills along with strong attention to detail
- The ability to work on your own initiative, make quality decisions and take a leadership and responsible role when required
- Willingness and flexibility to work in other areas as and when required
- Experience of Microsoft Office
There is a competitive salary of £27,714.70 per annum, generous annual leave entitlement, pension scheme with a company matched contribution of 6% of pensionable salary and free onsite car parking. The hours of work are: Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week). Alternate early (0600-1330) and late (1330-2100) shift pattern.
