Scientific Games is the global leader in lottery games, sports betting and technology, and the partner of choice for government lotteries. Our purpose-built, state-of-the-art printing facility in Leeds supplies lottery scratch cards to clients in the UK and Europe. We have recently upgraded our printing operation, installing a brand new 20 unit, in-line flexographic press which is capable of printing 700mm wide at a rate of 300 metres per minute.

We currently have a vacancy for a Quality Technician in our Quality team, working within a busy manufacturing environment. The purpose of this role is to maintain ongoing compliance and improvement activities in relation to all aspects of the Quality Management system.

Duties include:

  • Developing, maintaining, and controlling the Calibration system
  • Producing Customer test reports (C of A, C of C, etc.)
  • Investigating incidents reported both internally and externally (Customer complaints) and based upon the findings instigate the appropriate improvement plans (Continuous Improvement)
  • Carrying out internal and external (supplier) audits, giving appropriate feedback and assisting departments and other subsidiaries with putting improvement plans into place
  • Input of test results and findings into databases and spreadsheets
  • Maintenance and control of Testing databases and Test Equipment
  • Providing test equipment support for Quality Control and Manufacturing departments
  • Ensuring Quality related documentation is maintained and reviewed regularly
  • Preparing customer test samples and liaising with Independent Testing Laboratories
  • Carrying out testing on trial products and producing documented reports
  • Performing Measurement System Analysis on processes, machines, and measuring/test equipment
  • Carrying out a variety of product testing, when required
  • Delivering training for Quality and Manufacturing personnel, when required

In order to be considered for this role the successful candidate must have:

  • Experience of working within a quality department in a high-volume manufacturer
  • Experience of using Quality testing techniques
  • Experience of analysing data and producing reports
  • Understanding of Calibration and Quality investigation processes
  • IT literate (MS Office)
  • Exceptional organisation skills, along with being methodical in your approach
  • High degree of flexibility and adaptability, with the capacity to undertake additional responsibilities and emerging tasks to support changing operational needs
  • Effective and collaborative team player with strong communication skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience of conducting audits is desirable
  • Recognised Quality qualification is desirable
  • Knowledge of print process and practices is desirable

Furthermore, you will be given a competitive salary of £33,000 per annum as well as generous annual leave entitlement of 26 days per year plus bank holidays, and a pension scheme with a company match of 6% of pensionable salary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in related field
  • Years of experience: 2 to 5 years
