Overview: Security Guard (permanent) at Scientific Games. The role focuses on maintaining site security, managing fire safety, and ensuring a safe environment for employees and visitors.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining the security of the site by carrying out regular patrols, monitoring CCTV surveillance and addressing any security breaches.
  • Monitoring alarms and other technical equipment, including testing.
  • Escorting visitors and contractors around the site, maintaining high levels of security at all times.
  • Working with and maintaining fire safety systems (fire panels, fire testing, etc.).
  • Carrying out random searches of personnel.
  • Co-ordinating fire evacuations from the Security Gatehouse, including establishing where alarms have been triggered, requesting assistance from the emergency services if necessary, distributing roll call lists and radios to fire marshals, and ensuring that all employees have been accounted for.
  • Ensuring all security incident reports and site documentation are completed correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Providing first aid assistance to employees if required (training will be provided).

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in security procedures, ideally in a highly secure environment.
  • Experience of being responsible for fire evacuation procedures.
  • Experience of CCTV operation.
  • Current full Security Guard SIA Licence (Front Line Security Badge).
  • Ability to remain calm and focused in a highly pressurised environment.
  • Ability to deal with both employees and visitors professionally and diplomatically.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
  • Vigilance with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to be a good team player.
  • Willingness to take a flexible approach to work and to work a variety of shifts.

Work Pattern & Requirements:

Shift pattern: 4 days on, 4 days off, 4 nights on, 4 nights off. Night and weekend work is required. Flexibility to cover sickness/holidays and additional shifts as needed.

Salary & Benefits:

Salary: £29,509 per annum. Generous annual leave entitlement (21 shifts per year). Pension scheme with company matched contribution up to 6% of pensionable salary. Free onsite car parking.

Screening: drug screening, receipt of references, satisfactory Criminal Records Bureau check, and a satisfactory credit history check. Proof of eligibility to work in the UK is required before any job offer.
