Our purpose‑built printing facility in Leeds supplies lottery scratch cards to clients across Europe and recently upgraded its operations with a new 20‑unit, in‑line flexographic press capable of printing 700mm wide at a rate of 300 metres per minute.
Position Summary
We are looking to recruit a Quality Inspector to work within our busy Security Quality testing Lab on a continental shift pattern. The role involves testing printed products to ensure they meet required quality and security standards, using a range of testing equipment, inputting results into the computer database, producing reports, providing feedback to the press team, and maintaining the laboratory equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of tests on our printed product to ensure it meets the required quality and security standards.
- Use a wide range of testing equipment to perform the standard tests within the required timescales.
- Input results onto the computer database and produce reports.
- Provide feedback on test results to the press team.
- Clean, maintain and check the lab equipment.
Qualifications
- Experience of working within a quality testing department in a high‑volume, fast‑moving manufacturing environment.
- Experience of quality testing techniques.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work on your own initiative & make important decisions.
- Positive attitude and drive to see activities through to their conclusion.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Confident communicator; exceptional communication skills with the ability to deal effectively with people at all levels of business.
- IT literate (MS Office).
Work Hours & Compensation
The role involves a continental shift pattern, which will include working weekends and possible nights, of an average of 39 hours per week. Overtime, holiday cover, sickness cover and standard overtime shifts are expected. The compensation package includes a competitive salary of £33,827.10 per annum plus generous annual leave entitlement, a pension scheme with a company match of 6% of pensionable salary, and free onsite car parking.
