About the Role

You’ll design and implement initiatives that respond to the needs of religious and community-based organisations, coordinate activities such as learning journeys and dialogues that foster mutual understanding.

What You Will Do

  • Community & Stakeholder Engagement
    • Proactively engage with diverse religious groups and grassroots organisations to strengthen partnerships and communication.
    • Design and implement initiatives supporting the needs and aspirations of religious and community-based organisations.
    • Foster partnerships with government agencies, community stakeholders, and private entities to strengthen social cohesion.
  • Programme Coordination
    • Serve as secretariat for racial and religious harmony circles, coordinating activities and programmes that promote inter-religious understanding, including learning journeys and dialogues.
    • Coordinate support for national events such as Racial and Religious Harmony Month, Chingay, and National Day.
    • Assist with administration of a coordinating council for community harmony initiatives.
    • Assist with the evaluation and disbursement of a community harmony fund.
  • Evaluation & Improvement
    • Evaluate engagement strategies and initiatives, and propose improvements to strengthen community engagement effectiveness.

What We Are Looking For

  • Degree in Social Sciences, Public Policy, Communications, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in community engagement, stakeholder management, or grassroots work preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with cultural and religious sensitivity.
  • Good organisational and event coordination skills.
  • Comfortable working with diverse stakeholders, including government agencies and community groups.
  • Able to manage multiple initiatives and evaluate programme effectiveness.
