Overview
Sciensus are seeking an IT Category Lead. Reporting into the Head of Procurement, this is a hybrid working role, coming into our Burton office at least 2 days a week.
You will be responsible for IT category management, procurement and contractual support with a focus on ICT & Digital. We will expect you to drive cost effective strategies and ensure supplier performance aligns with business goals, all whilst building and maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Manage IT category management, procurement and contractual support with a focus on ICT & Digital.
- Drive cost effective strategies and ensure supplier performance aligns with business goals; build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders.
- Manage end-to-end procurement including negotiations, sourcing and supplier management.
- Manage an IT procurement category/subcategories (HW/SW, networks and outsourcing).
- Contractual and commercial negotiation of multi-year IT contracts with a deep understanding of SaaS agreements, software licensing models, pricing structures, and IT licensing and services agreements.
- Advise senior management on procurement, contract and supply chain matters.
- Strong background in building and executing long-term category and subcategory strategies aligned to overall business objectives.
- Experience in managing complex IT projects and contract negotiations with Tier 1 IT vendors.
- Experience in conducting SRM activity with strategic IT suppliers including structured supplier performance reviews and governance frameworks and managing associated risks.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to engage and gain commitment from diverse business functions and senior leadership.
- Solid understanding of contract review, negotiation and analytical skills, ensuring alignment with business strategies and risk mitigation requirements.
- Preference for CIPS or similar professional qualification.
