At Sciensus, we’re excited to announce a new opening for Director of Private Services — a critical leadership role shaping the future of our private healthcare portfolio. As the Director of Private Services, you will set the vision and direction for our private product strategy, leading a high‑performing team and collaborating closely with internal partners and external stakeholders. Your leadership will ensure we deliver exceptional value for patients and customers while maximising the commercial potential of the private channel in line with our revenue ambitions.

Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of Business Unit performance — from commercial P&L to financial and operational KPIs.
  • Inspire and empower a motivated team dedicated to driving business development, strengthening market presence, and elevating profitability across all areas of responsibility.
  • Lead the creation and execution of a robust key account strategy, negotiating and managing new and existing contracts to unlock growth, optimise turnover, and enhance profitability.
  • Champion innovative private patient initiatives — taking ideas from concept through to successful implementation and embedding them as core, value‑generating elements of the business.
  • Demonstrate a sharp eye for identifying growth opportunities, building strong commercial cases, and guiding organisations to realise value through strategic investments.
  • Bring a deep understanding of market dynamics, competitor activity, and broader economic forces, translating these insights into clear, effective strategies for both the short and long term.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Significant experience and demonstrable track record of success in regional sales management.
  • Experience in P&L and budget management, with Business Unit management preferred.
  • Significant exposure to the Oncology market; alternatively, demonstrated success in changing from one therapeutic area to another.
  • Proven ability to identify growth opportunities for a given product or service, developing business cases to recommend and rationalise investments and other strategic actions, and driving an organisation to capture value.
  • Proven ability to leverage knowledge of marketplace, competitor landscape, and economic forces and translate them into clear short‑term and long‑term strategies.
  • Proven track record in formulating and implementing effective marketing and sales strategies, negotiating and winning new business and delivering business growth targets.
  • Experience of influencing stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Experience of working effectively with and/or leading cross‑functional teams.
  • Empathy, humility, sincerity, a passion for the healthcare sector and a commitment to quality and service standards.
  • Integrity and high ethical standards in both professional and personal dealings, a strong desire to maintain the reputation of the business.
  • Pace, energy and commitment; comfortable with the dynamic and fast‑moving style of private equity.
