Sciensus are seeking a Data Governance and Quality Manager. This is a permanent position, hybrid working, coming into our Burton office at least 2 days a week.

How you’ll help
- Lead the design, delivery and evolution of our enterprise‑wide data governance and quality framework.
- Shape and own data governance policies, standards and procedures.
- Build a culture of data accountability through stewardship and ownership models.
- Drive enterprise‑wide Master Data Management (MDM) and harmonisation.
- Champion data ethics, GDPR compliance and NHS information governance.
- Lead a small team and collaborate with engineers, analysts and senior leaders.
- Oversee organisation‑wide data quality monitoring, dashboards and KPIs.
- Maintain metadata, lineage and governance tooling across Azure, Databricks, Purview and more.
- Be a key voice in our broader data strategy and roadmap.
What You’ll Deliver
- Strategic Leadership
- Own and evolve our Data Governance & Quality Framework.
- Partner across business and technical teams to embed best practice.
- Lead enterprise‑wide MDM strategy and data harmonisation.
- Advise on compliance with GDPR, NHS frameworks and ISO standards.
- Promote a data‑driven culture through strong stakeholder engagement.
- Operational Excellence
- Lead and develop direct report(s).
- Oversee data quality monitoring, profiling and remediation.
- Implement governance controls across Dataverse, Azure Data Lake, Synapse, Databricks.
- Maintain rich metadata and data lineage visibility.
- Produce dashboards and KPIs, surfacing risk, trends and improvements.
- Support internal and external audits.
