About the Company

Our client, in the environmental waste sector, has an opportunity to join them at one of their recycling centres as Site Supervisor. This is a stable, consistent and growing industry to be part of with an established organisation who provide training and progression.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the safe and efficient operation of our client\’s Recycling Centre.
• Supervise and motivate your team of Site Operatives, looking for opportunities to develop and support.
• Ensure our operations are in line with the site\’s waste permits.
• Ensure a safety first environment, through regular inspections and working with your team to adhere to safety procedures at all times.
• Work with our Logistics team to safely manage and control the number of vehicle movements into site.
• Report to the Area Supervisor, providing support to your colleagues at other sites if required.
• Ensure positive relations in relation to site activities as an operational site open to the public.
• Ensure that static and mobile plant is maintained.

Ideal Candidate

• Experience working in the waste and recycling sector.
• Supervisory experience.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• High level of health and safety experience.
• Experience operating forklifts would be advantageous.
• Strong IT skills.
• Individuals who are keen to develop themselves as our business also grows.
