The Role: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Location: Staines
Salary: £45k-£55k + Call out fees
The Company
Our client in theenvironmental sectorare looking for aMulti-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (electrically biased) to join their team. This role requires experience working in a high volume processing facility, particularly in bulk handling. You will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our SRF processing facility, with a focus on electrical maintenance, high and low voltage machinery, and PLC fault finding.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on electrical systems and machinery in line with site requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with high and low voltage circuits and PLC systems.
- Perform planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and unplanned repairs to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.
- Lead and engage with team members to prioritize tasks and distribute workload effectively.
- Ensure that all maintenance activities are carried out safely and in compliance with HSE regulations.
- Provide technical support and training to operational staff to enhance performance and safety.
- Assist with job planning and scheduling to ensure the maintenance team meets operational goals.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, suggesting and implementing best practices and process optimizations.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience in an electrical maintenance role, ideally within an industrial or bulk handling environment.
- Strong understanding of high and low voltage machinery and electrical circuits.
- Experience with PLC fault finding is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to engage and motivate a team.
- Solid knowledge of health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Ability to adapt to varying responsibilities and work collaboratively within a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends (compromise is possible).
