Brand new role - Supplier QA officer required for a leading fine chemicals manufacturer based in the Teesside area. Initially for a 6 month contract.
Company: Multinational fine chemicals manufacturer, that supplies its products to some of the leading brands across the globe. The company is now in a stage of investment into people and facilities and has very ambitious growth plan.
Hours of work: 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday (some flexibility if required).

Duration: Initial 6 month contract (could be extended or made permanent)
Salary: 45,000+ (flexible depending upon your skills and experience)
You will be involved in:
- Implementing the vendor/supplier quality system including onboarding procedures.
- Auditing suppliers/vendors to ensure compliance to regulatory and manufacturing standards (ISO 9001, BRC, REACH)
- Preparation of regulatory statement for materials and finished products.
- Looking at continuous improvement activities and assisting with internal audits and internal QA initiatives.
- Visiting supplier sites in the UK and Europe for external audits (less than 1 per month).
- Working with other technical groups at manufacturing sites in America and Far East to align quality standards.
What do you need to be considered?
You will need:
- Background within QA/Regulatory with knowledge of QMS and databases.
- Good IT knowledge including database management (Microsoft, Oracle etc)
- Knowledge of ISO9001 (REACH and BRC would be a distinct advantage)
- Experience of external and internal auditing (Lead auditor qualification would be preferred)
- Excellent communication skills - written and verbal.
- Science qualification related to chemistry or food science.
