Senior R&D Chemist opportunity for a rapidly growing fine chemicals manufacturer based in North East England Job Opportunity – Senior R&D Chemist Company: International fine chemicals manufacturer based in North East England, which supplies some of the world's largest consumer manufacturers, and is now going through a period of extensive growth. Salary: Up to £45k, depending on skills and experience You will be involved in: * Developing new and existing synthetic processes (organic compounds) through literature and laboratory work. * Scaling up processes up to multi-kilo scale and providing associated tech transfer information and purification by distillation. * Work with QC department to develop analytical method for in-process QC and final product assays. * Carrying out projects and oversee project teams. * Ensuring that H&S and environmental compliance within the laboratory What do you need to be considered? You will need: * Qualification in Chemistry at degree level or above. * Ideally 5 years industrial experience carrying out synthetic organic chemistry in the development of fine chemicals (APIs, additives, aroma chemicals etc). * Experience of scale-up/tech transfer (multi-kilo). * knowledge of analytical techniques such as GC and wet chemistry. * Excellent communication skills – written and verbal. * Previous experience in project and team management.
