Business Development Manager, leading Contract Research Organisation
Company: Established for over 25 years, this organisation has enviable reputation, helping the development of drugs and biopharmaceuticals – working with some of the largest Biotech & CRO\’s along with Pharmaceuticals companies across the globe.
Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm (flexible start and finish times are available)

Location: Home working – travel required approximately 30% of time to the companies\’ own sites, conferences and client sites (UK and EU)
Duration: Permanent position.
Salary: Upto £70k (depending on skills and experience)
You will be involved in:
- Identifying potential clients through market research/trends and networking.
- Building long term relationships with Pharmaceutical and Biopharmaceuticals (small, medium and large) companies, with regular calls and updates.
- Generating new leads through cold calls, MQL\’s, social media and following up with inbound inquiries.
- Ensuring that existing clients are aware of new products and services and maximising business opportunities (cross selling).
- Meeting clients, interpreting the needs and challenges and providing them with appropriate solutions.
- Representing the company at trade events and client meetings.
- Liaising with internal stakeholders about project timings, costs and capabilities.
What do you need to be considered?
- Previous sales experience, providing products or services to the Pharma and Biopharmaceutical industries (ideally 3 years plus).
- Degree or above in Life Sciences (Biotechnology, Biomedical or Pharmacy).
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop and nurture long term business relationships.
- Previous experience of networking and representing companies at conferences and client meetings.
- Results driven attitude, with the ability to negotiate and provide solutions to clients.
- Experience of Microsoft and CRM software packages.
