A leading speciality chemicals manufacturer based in the Teesside area is seeking a Regulatory Compliance Officer. The company supplies its products to some of the leading brands across the globe and is currently investing in people and facilities with an ambitious growth plan.
Hours of work: 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday (some flexibility if required)

Location: Teesside. NB: The role will be solely site-based and own transport is desirable due to location.
Duration: Permanent. Salary: up to £45,000 (depending upon your skills and experience)
You will be involved in:
- Ensuring compliance to regulatory and manufacturing standards (ISO 9001, BRC, REACH).
- Preparation of regulatory statements for materials and finished products.
- Looking at continuous improvement activities and assisting with internal audits and QA initiatives.
- Working with other technical groups at manufacturing sites in America and the Far East to align regulatory/quality standards.
- Responding to customer requests for regulatory information.
- Providing technical support to sales staff in relation to regulatory compliance, when required.
What do you need to be considered?
- Background within Regulatory compliance/QA with knowledge of QMS and databases.
- Knowledge of chemical REACH and ISO 9001 (BRC would be a distinct advantage).
- Good IT knowledge including database management (Microsoft, Oracle etc).
- Experience of internal auditing (Lead auditor qualification would be preferred).
- Science qualification related to chemistry or food science.
- Excellent communication skills - written and verbal.
