As Assistant Curator, you will work across the collections, providing research and practical collections support. In liaison with the SMG Curators, you will identify and catalogue objects, improve existing records, and undertake tasks towards acquisition and disposal. Do you want to research our stored collection and share stories about objects to engage our audiences? Are you a good communicator who can collaborate with others effectively?, You will have knowledge of the history and current practice of science, technology, medicine, or engineering and experience of working with stored object collections. You will be able to work and collaborate effectively with colleagues, subject specialists, and external organisations.
Crucially, you will have good research skills and the ability to use your good written and verbal communication skills and creative approach to engage our audiences with stored collections. You will also be able to organise and prioritise work in order to meet deadlines.
