Based in our modern Worksop facility, we are expanding our finance team and inviting a motivated individual to join us as a Financial Accounts Assistant. This role presents an exciting opportunity to develop your finance career while supporting a vital function in our business.
Role Overview
This position offers the opportunity of full-time employment, with flexibility to accommodate part-time working for exceptional candidates. Hours will be agreed upon, providing stability along with some scheduling flexibility.
We are looking for someone eager to grow from accounts administration into broader financial accounting and management reporting responsibilities. For the right person, we are committed to supporting professional development, including funding relevant qualifications such as AAT and beyond, helping you build a successful long-term career in finance. Alongside core accounts payable duties, you will also have the chance to assist with month-end processes and management accounts preparation, contributing key financial insights to the leadership team.
What You Will Do
- Process and pay purchase ledger invoices accurately and promptly
- Maintain, reconcile, and post transactions in bank and supplier accounts
- Prepare and run monthly BACS payment runs
- Support credit control functions as needed
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing duties
- Help to improve existing financial processes and workflows
- Contribute to management account reporting and financial documentation
What We’re Looking For
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Basic understanding of accounts payable and purchase ledger processes – training will be provided
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word); SAP experience is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail with good organisational skills
- Clear and effective communication skills
