We’re seeking a Regional Financial Controller to join Schulte European Group in London. This is a key role within our Regional Finance team, supporting a growing portfolio of hotels across the UK. You’ll partner closely with our Regional Director of Finance and on-property teams to drive performance, strengthen controls, and support continued growth.

The Role

Reporting to the Regional Director of Finance, you’ll take ownership of financial oversight across a portfolio of hotels—ensuring robust controls, accurate reporting, and strong commercial insight. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading finance operations across 3–6 hotels, managing on-property Financial Controllers
  • Producing and reviewing weekly forecasts, monthly forecasts, P&Ls, and budgets
  • Analysing performance and driving action on budget variances
  • Reviewing balance sheet reconciliations and strengthening internal controls
  • Managing cash flow and working capital
  • Overseeing VAT compliance and statutory requirements
  • Leading external and internal audits
  • Managing accounts receivable and bad debt provisions
  • Supporting new hotel openings and transitions
  • Developing and coaching finance teams across the portfolio
  • Partnering with senior stakeholders to support commercial decision-making

What We’re Looking For

  • 7+ years’ experience in finance/accounting (hospitality or multi-site preferred)
  • Proven experience leading and developing teams
  • Strong technical accounting and financial control knowledge
  • Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
  • Experience with Business Central (preferred)
  • Familiarity with hotel systems (Opera / HMS) advantageous
