As a strategic, relationship-driven Business Relationship Manager you will excel at bridging business needs with technology capabilities. You will translate business objectives into clear, actionable initiatives and partner closely with stakeholders to ensure solutions deliver measurable value. You will create and support collaborative environments, bring clarity to ambiguity, and build trusted partnerships across the organisation. Influence without authority, guide teams toward shared outcomes, and keep work aligned with strategic priorities.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Shape and communicate a clear roadmap that reflects business priorities and maximises value delivery.
  • Participate in intake processes, prioritisation cycles, and maintain a clear business-facing backlog.
  • Provide insight through metrics and reporting to support transparency, governance, and informed decision-making.
  • Shape high-level project intent, define scope, and ensure feasibility and alignment with business strategy and constraints.
  • Define project value, expected benefits, success metrics, and validate acceptance criteria.
  • Coordinate development of business cases and support investment decision-making.
  • Collaborate closely with Business Analysts, architects, delivery teams, and cross-functional partners to bridge gaps and reduce rework.
  • Serve as a key partner to business teams, understanding their needs and aligning stakeholders around shared objectives and outcomes.
  • Advocate for business interests while balancing enterprise-wide considerations.
  • Manage stakeholder escalation and coordinate with technical teams during issues or incidents to ensure clear communication and timely resolution.
  • Support change management and communication efforts to ensure business readiness, adoption, and realisation of benefits.
  • Coordinate release schedules and readiness activities across stakeholder groups.
  • Undertake tasks delegated by department and company management team if/when required.
  • Ensure all communication adheres to the GDPR policies.
  • Work with own initiative and as part of the wider team.
  • Understand and comply with the Company’s Health & Safety policy & procedures.

THE CANDIDATE

  • 4+ years of experience in Business Relationship Management, Product Ownership, Business Analysis, or a related business–technology role.
  • Experience working with an offshore delivery model preferable.
  • Proven ability to translate business needs into clear requirements, roadmaps, and prioritised backlogs.
  • Experience with demand management, value definition (benefits, success metrics), and supporting governance processes.
  • Strong stakeholder-management skills with the ability to build trust, influence decisions, and support issue escalation.
  • Demonstrated success managing competing priorities in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.
  • Strong analytical mindset with comfort using data to inform decision-making.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working within Agile environments and understanding of IT delivery processes.
  • Ability to develop business cases, articulate value propositions, and support change management efforts.
  • Background in process improvement or product ownership preferred; moderate technical familiarity is a plus.
  • Must have ability to work in our HQ Office in Livingston, Scotland 2 days per week.
