Job Title: Experienced Assistant Buyer (Level 3) / Entry Junior Buyer
Reports To: Senior Buyer
Main Function: To support and assist the Senior Buyer in delivering the business strategy for our organisation. Looking for someone who is a great communicator, strong at building partnerships across the business internally and externally, eye for product and detail and great fit for the team.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for selection of Sports brands working closely with Senior Buyer and Merchandising department.
- Support and assist the Senior Buyer in buying branded footwear ranges from global sports brands
- Independently buying and supporting the Senior Buyer to help build commercially viable product ranges that reflects the schuh brand image and current trends
- Working closely with the Merchandising team and with guidance of the Senior Buyer to manage and deliver the strategy for their department and achieve target intake margins/sales and profit plan
- Ensure that department ranges are bought and delivered on time and within OTB requirements
- Using sales and performance information to suggest areas for maximizing all sales opportunities
- Understands market with strong competitor awareness
- Managing and supporting BAA’s on the team
- Ambassador for the Buying team, working closely with Retail/Marketing/Ecommerce/Merchandising building strong relations with all stake holders
