We are looking for a Senior PR & Talent Manager to join the Community team in our London office on a 12-month FTC. At schuh, we are not afraid to try something new and are looking for someone who is bursting with ideas to push us forward and set us apart from the rest.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of consolidated experience working in-house or at an agency across fashion, social and youth culture. The candidate needs to be currently working at a manager level across consumer PR, creator/influencer management and events. This candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is dynamic, passionate and results-driven. This is a maternity cover for a busy role, so we are looking for someone who can hit the ground running. This role is a hybrid role with a minimum of 2 days in the London office required. The role will include work activity outside of office hours where required.
Primary Responsibilities- Working with the Head of Community to implement the PR/Talent/Community strategy, ensuring this aligns and ladders up to the wider marketing and business objectives.
- Working with the Head of Community to oversee the delivery of all PR, Talent, Event and Special projects, ensuring timelines, budget and deliverables are met.
- Traditional PR and reputation management.
- Creator/Influencer curation and management with support from PR/Talent team.
- Event management with support from wider team.
- Lead on community and talent-led brand projects.
- KPIs and results monitoring – drive the team to achieve annual performance goals.
- Oversee team reporting and cascading of reporting.
- Continually driving coverage within traditional media but also social, shareable content.
- Managing the timely creation of all PR/Creator/Event materials for schuh.
- Press release writing.
- Continually monitoring social, culture and industry trends to identify opportunities for schuh.
- Contributing to the management of dept budget.
- Contributing to corporate PR.
- Collaborating with the Brand Partnerships team on campaigns and events with key brand partners.
- Managing and mentoring junior members of the team.
- Custodian for schuh’s brand values and Do More Good social impact strategy, particularly through talent management.
- Working with all departments within schuh to fulfil additional business requirements.
- An experienced communications professional with at least 6-8 years experience within the PR, fashion, social and creator industry.
- Have a strong understanding of other marketing functions and how best to collaborate to achieve the best results.
- A confident individual with excellent contacts across all areas of the industry.
- Obsessed with youth culture.
- The ability to be strategic and hands-on.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- A consumer of media of all types, from publishing to social media.
- A highly motivated, organised, forward-thinking and extremely detail-oriented individual.
- Someone who has a strong understanding of cultural trends inclusive of fashion, media, music and art.
- Corporate PR experience advantageous.
