Overview

Senior Regulatory Reporting Analyst. The job holder will work within a team of eleven (the Group Regulatory Reporting team) and will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely submission of COREP (Common Reporting) data to the Prudential Regulatory Authority.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the preparation, validation, and submission of COREP and other regulatory reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain oversight of reporting timetables and proactively manage risks to delivery.
  • Conduct and review data analysis, reconciliations, and data quality checks, ensuring robust internal controls and resolving any issues identified.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance reporting processes, templates, and the overall control framework in response to regulatory changes and best practice.
  • Manage internal reviews related to regulatory reporting, ensuring findings are addressed and processes are improved where necessary.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Finance, Treasury, Risk, and IT teams, to ensure high-quality data collection and reporting.
  • Contribute to and lead projects relating to regulatory reporting, process improvements, system enhancements, and data quality, ensuring successful delivery alongside business-as-usual activities.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior team members, supporting their professional development and ensuring high standards across the function.

The Knowledge, Experience And Qualifications You Need

  • Strong and in-depth knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements, with significant hands-on experience in COREP and related prudential returns.
  • Extensive practical experience in the preparation, review, and oversight of regulatory submissions within financial services.
  • Advanced analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage and review large, complex data sets.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel; strong competence with data management and reporting tools such as Power BI and SQL.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing, maintaining, and enhancing regulatory reporting processes, controls, and documentation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience collaborating with and influencing a wide range of stakeholders, including senior management.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, make sound decisions under pressure, and meet strict deadlines.

The team

The Group Regulatory Reporting team is split into two main sub-teams. First, the Group Prudential Reporting team is responsible for submitting to the PRA and FCA all prudential regulatory returns for the consolidated Group (e.g. under CRR) and the solo UK regulated asset management firms (e.g. under IFPR) and an insurance firm (under Solvency II). The team is also responsible for production of all related management information used by senior management to manage the Group’s regulatory position, including capital and liquidity forecasts under base case and stress tests.

Second, the Group Prudential Risk Assessment team is responsible for production of a number of ‘Pillar 2’ documents, including the Group ICAAP and Recovery Plan and several ICARAs for solo UK regulated asset management firms.
