Overview of role / Principle Responsibilities
The primary role of the Senior Marketing Manager is to manage the day-to-day marketing activity for particular stakeholders and their areas or specialities. They will support the Head of Digital, Brand and Partnerships in delivering against the marketing plan. Working closely with the Events Team and the various business areas/regions, the role involves delivering a range of marketing initiatives that are aligned to the business strategy, from idea stage through to implementation. All marketing activity must be delivered on schedule, meet the objectives of the business along with any objectives. Any output produced must follow the correct compliance process, regulatory framework and consumer duty requirements as well as adhering to the corporate brand and style guidelines. Integration with digital and online marketing is an essential part of this role. The person in this role will have a key part to play in digital, helping to support our digital efforts and will have a direct report as they will manage a marketing executive. This pivotal role also requires the building of relationships with the many key stakeholders across the business including client facing portfolio managers, compliance and legal, as well as external media and creative agencies. Strong communication skills are therefore essential. The aim of this role is to build our plans for their areas of the business, delivery against them and provide value to them and the business in supporting our client retention and acquisition objectives. The job holder has responsibility to pay due regard to the interests of our customers and treat them fairly, ensuring that the information provided to clients on services is clear and useful and enables them to understand fully what they are being offered. They are required to familiarise themselves fully with the team's current procedures, FCA compliance requirements, and the principles behind 'Conduct Risk'.
Key responsibilities
- Work closely with particular key business areas/regions to develop, deliver and maintain a range of strategic marketing plans that support the overall business objectives.
- Manage a marketing executive who is there to support the senior marketing manager in delivering their plans.
- Create and deliver high quality marketing plan, coordinating across various business areas and all relevant client types.
- Coordinate and review effectiveness of campaigns to highlight key learnings and recommendations for future activity in relation to any ROI objectives set.
- Work closely with all other areas within the marketing, communications and events teams.
- Manage the day-to-day relationship with our media agency to ensure objectives and deadlines are met and activity is delivered within budget.
- Where required, manage the development of any additional advertising creative requirements to support the individual business areas and associated campaigns, always ensuring activity is on brand and to deadline.
- Work closely with the Digital Team within Marketing to maximise content distribution and ensure that the website provides an appropriate shop window for Cazenove's overall proposition and core business areas.
- Execute against the digital strategy and day-to-day lead on paid media - in particular with PPC and paid social.
- Generate and maintain a suite of literature and day-to-day marketing materials to support our business functions.
- Manage and oversee the production and delivery of any new videos where required for internal and external distribution.
- Lead on internal comms for the wealth business.
- Management of the budget for their particular areas and updating the Head of Digital, Brand and Partnerships as and when required, flagging any concerns regarding budget.
- Ensure brand and style guidelines and correct processes are followed across the business.
- Ensure all materials meet FCA and Consumer Duty requirements and complete appropriate Financial Promotions checklist.
- Management of at least one team member including managing the day-to-day work flow and ensuring work meets the required deadlines. Set and monitor this individual's personal objectives and plan.
Skills
- Hold a degree level qualification, or equivalent level qualification.
- Professional Diploma in Marketing, as recognised by CIM, or equivalent would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of Asset Management/Wealth Management/Financial Services industry.
- Sound understanding and knowledge of the financial promotions rules and Consumer Duty framework.
- Media planning, liaising with publishers, creative, and film crew production.
- Campaign management skills - execution of full marketing mix both above and below-the-line including copywriting skills.
- Experience of briefing and managing internal and external agencies and working on marketing collateral and campaigns from initiation to delivery.
- Post campaign evaluation / assessment of ROI.
- Digital and online marketing experience.
- Hard working, professional, organised, motivated.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects to tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage junior resource.
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with a variety of key stakeholders.
- Ability to influence and communicate at all levels within the business.
- Proficient IT Skills, including advanced Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
