We are looking for someone who is proactive and innovative and who has a strong focus on understanding and meeting client needs to enhance our value proposition to ensure that our products and services are tailored to deliver good client outcomes and delight our clients.

Working with the senior leadership of the Product Development Team and Product Development Managers, the successful candidate will support business growth by developing and managing UCITS funds and AIFs across multiple fund ranges in the UK and Europe on product developments which are tied to Schroders’ priorities. The candidate will also proactively partner collaboratively with colleagues in multiple functions including Client Group, Investment, Operations, Legal, Risk and Compliance to evaluate the impact of regulatory change and other strategic product development related initiatives across Schroders' products.

The successful candidate will ideally have experience as a product professional or have other equivalent experience which meets the required skill set. UK and Luxembourg authorised funds experience is desirable. Someone with a keen interest in leveraging new technologies, including AI, to drive innovation and improve team effectiveness.

The Product Development Team is responsible for co-ordinating the development of new products and ongoing range management for our UK and European fund ranges including taking responsibility for prospectus and regulatory submissions:

  • Development: taking ownership of the development cycle from initial concept, through detailed design, build and launch.
  • Management: ongoing product range management to ensure existing products are fit for purpose. To the extent that changes or issues are identified, formulating action plans to ensure appropriate action is taken.
  • Prospectus & Regulatory Submissions: co-ordinate and are responsible for all prospectus amendments for regulatory filings and managing all associated documentation.
  • Create value for Schroders Shareholders – delight our clients by developing new and innovative products at speed and sharing Product insights with the Client Group and clients.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead the development of new products launches with an emphasis on Luxembourg, UK and Irish funds.
  • Lead the fund ranges. Main activities will include prospectus updates, fund mergers and changes.
  • Actively engage with Client Group (and clients) to understand their needs and ensure our products and services meet their expectations.
  • Work with Investment desks, Client Group & Marketing, Operations, Compliance, Risk, Legal and Finance teams to ensure adequate support for the product launches and changes.
  • Maintain awareness of competitor, regulatory and market developments.
  • Actively contribute and lead on ad hoc work and strategic projects as they arise.

  • Qualifications within investment/asset management e.g. IMC, CAIA, CFA etc.
  • Wider experience within investment/asset management business.
  • Experience with AI or other innovative technologies.
  • Knowledge of developing and maintaining authorised fund products and unauthorised fund products.
  • A broad understanding of securities and instruments, portfolio management techniques, investment processes, and investment management products.
  • Knowledge of sustainable regulations (e.g. SFDR & SDR) and sustainable implementation within a product role.
  • A broad understanding of the legal and regulatory risks associated with the financial services industry and applicable FCA and CSSF regulation.
  • Positive attitude; genuinely pro-active and keen to take responsibility.
