An accomplished senior marketing professional with a strong background in financial services, ideally asset or wealth management industries. Skilled in developing and executing marketing strategies that drive revenue, managing global campaign planning and overseeing budgets. The role requires strategic thinking, commercial acumen and analytical capability. Candidates should have proven experience of working in large matrix organisations collaborating with stakeholders across sales and investment teams to create integrated marketing plans. Experience in linking marketing spend to measurable revenue outcomes is essential. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have robust experience in the planning and sequencing of campaigns, accounting for regional insights while ensuring alignment with global objectives.

The Marketing Centre of Expertise (CoE) is a group of teams that cover critical disciplines within marketing and sets global standards and frameworks. The Planning & Strategy Lead will head up the discipline within the CoE, ensuring best practices, governance, and alignment across all regions. This includes planning alignment, prioritisation, and budget governance to deliver cohesive go-to-market strategies. We are a high-performing team, encouraging a collaborative and agile culture.

What You’ll Do:

  • Work alongside Global Marketing and broader Client Group Leaders to develop a cohesive marketing strategy that drives revenue.
  • Utilise strong commercial understanding and leverage local insights from regionally based marketers to create cohesive go-to-market plans that meet global objectives.
  • Lead on campaign budget governance.
  • Establish appropriate financial resource allocation and promote budget prudency through a ROI focussed approach.
  • Champion cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement (especially with Sales and Investment teams) to attain a cohesive global go-to-market plan.
  • Own the global campaign planning process, including strategy, sequencing, prioritisation and practical application of production resources for the delivery of our major campaigns.
  • Optimise existing planning framework, enhancing the governance model to ensure consistency and scalability across regions.
  • Drive innovation in planning processes and adoption, leveraging technology, automation and data-driven insights for improved efficiency.
  • Oversee campaign performance measurement standards, tracking KPIs and optimising data-driven planning for maximum impact.
  • Act as a thought leader within the Marketing CoE with strong commercial understanding, influencing strategic decisions and shaping best practices for campaign planning globally.

The Knowledge, Experience And Qualifications That Will Help:

  • 8–10+ years in senior roles shaping and governing global marketing strategy and planning across multiple channels.
  • Extensive experience in revenue operations, budget oversight and resource optimisation at a departmental or enterprise level.
  • Strong ability to use data and analytics to drive strategic decision making.
  • Demonstrated success in planning and sequencing multi-regional campaigns, leveraging regional insights to deliver globally aligned strategies.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders within a complex matrix organisation.
  • Strong understanding of the various client segments within the asset management industry.
  • Relevant qualifications such as a Marketing or Management degree, with professional certifications (e.g. CIM, PMP, DMI) highly desirable.
