This role is responsible for providing market intelligence and insight to inform thinking within the Product Strategy team, and ultimately to help guide strategic decision-making across the business. This individual should be passionate about analysing and understanding market trends and competitive dynamics and have skills to work within large data sets in order to unlock valuable product and client insights. It is responsible for setting the overall product strategy, defining the product range, identifying opportunities, and working closely with the Investment and Distribution divisions to evolve our strategies and help focus commercial activity. The team leads strategic product initiatives for the firm, owning the process from idea through to execution, working closely with the Product Development and Governance teams to own the Product Lifecycle. What you’ll doAnalyse client needs, competitive dynamics & the investment context—in collaboration with Distribution, Product, and Investment colleagues—to define our product and solutions rangeProactively provide market intelligence and trends Ensure Schroders' product set is optimised to meet evolving client demand and stay competitive and relevant against the investment landscapeAnalyse Schroders' investment product offerings and compare to competing products to support favourable positioning strategiesThe knowledge, experience and qualifications you needRelevant experience in financial services or management consulting, ideally in a client-facing, front-office teamDirect knowledge of the asset management industry from a strategic perspective preferred but not essentialStrong data analysis, and presentation skillsStructured approach to solving problems using a data-driven approach and a variety of sources to refine and validate ideasProactive team player with a strong commitment to high standards and getting the job doneExcellent interpersonal skills, an ability to establish and maintain productive, cooperative working relationships, and the presence to effectively engage and influence stakeholdersWhat you’ll be likeGreat at working both independently and with other people, sharing and communicating decisionsHighly curious and self-motivated A critical thinker who's able to look at things from different anglesStrong technical knowledge on market trends and competitor dynamicsGreat at unpicking a problem, from start to end, owning and delivering the solutionComfortable expressing a point of view Able to work well under pressure, on several priorities at once, and with tight deadlinesWe recognise potential, whoever you areOur purpose is to provide excellent investment performance to clients through active management.
