We are looking for a Senior Performance Analyst – Governance & Delivery to join our Financial Performance Modelling team. This role is one of two complementary senior analyst roles within the team’s dual capability model, providing the stable, controlled platform that enables FPM to broaden its contribution into insight, challenge and decision support.
About Schroders: We’re a global investment manager. We help institutions, intermediaries and individuals around the world invest money to meet their goals, fulfil their ambitions, and prepare for the future as well as our portfolio managers deliver the best for the funds/portfolios they manage. We have around 6,000 people on six continents. And we’ve been around for over 200 years but keep adapting as society and technology changes. What doesn’t change is our commitment to helping our clients, and society, prosper.
The base: Our HQ is in the City of London. We’re close to our clients, in the heart of the UK’s financial centre and we have everything we need to work flexibly.
What you’ll do:
- Own BAU allocation delivery and MI timetables: Lead the month-end, forecast and budget allocation cycles, coordinating inputs, model runs, output checks and downstream reporting activity to ensure accurate and timely delivery.
- Ensure model integrity, controls and auditability: Maintain a disciplined control environment across data inputs, allocation logic, reconciliations, issue tracking and sign-off, ensuring outputs are complete, consistent and explainable.
- Manage allocation governance and change control: Coordinate governance forums, prioritise and track change requests, support UAT, maintain decision logs and ensure model changes are properly documented, communicated and embedded.
- Coordinate across Finance Data Management, Reporting and FP&A: Act as a key point of contact for data providers, Finance Reporting, Finance Allocations and FP&A Business Partners, ensuring clear ownership, timely resolution of issues and effective handoffs across the process.
- Drive process improvement and industrialisation: Identify opportunities to standardise data inputs, streamline trackers, automate validations and reduce manual effort, helping create capacity for FPM to focus on higher-value insight activity.
- Support stakeholder understanding of allocation outcomes: Prepare clear explanations, materials and analysis to help business partners and senior finance stakeholders understand key movements, methodology changes and governance decisions.
- Maintain process documentation and operating discipline: Keep process maps, RACI documentation, controls, runbooks and governance artefacts up to date so the operating model remains clear, repeatable and resilient.
The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need:
- Strong experience in FP&A, finance operations, cost allocations or financial performance management within a complex organisation, ideally financial services.
- Demonstrable experience managing month-end, forecast and budget processes, with responsibility for delivery, controls, reconciliations and stakeholder coordination.
- Strong understanding of governance, risk, controls and audit requirements, with the ability to design and maintain robust and repeatable processes.
- Experience operating and supporting enterprise planning or allocation platforms such as Anaplan, Oracle EPM or similar finance systems.
- Strong analytical capability with experience investigating data quality issues, reconciling complex datasets and explaining financial outcomes.
- Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders across Finance, Data, Reporting and Technology teams, balancing competing priorities while maintaining delivery commitments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex methodologies, controls and outcomes in a clear and understandable manner.
The knowledge, experience and qualifications that will help:
- Structured and control-minded, with the ability to bring discipline, governance and clarity to complex cross-functional processes.
- Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills, capable of coordinating multiple teams, priorities and delivery timelines simultaneously.
- Proactive and continuous improvement-focused, with a passion for simplifying processes, enhancing controls and reducing operational risk.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment, balancing accuracy, governance and stakeholder expectations.
- Collaborative and pragmatic, building trusted relationships across Finance, Data, Reporting and Technology teams.
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability, with a focus on delivering reliable, well-governed and audit-ready outcomes.
