We have been in 1 LWP since 2018. We’re close to our clients, in the heart of the UK’s financial centre. And we have everything we need to work flexibly.

The team

We are one of the largest UK-based wealth management firm, headquartered in London but with offices around the country.

We help private clients, families, charities and some institutions meet their long term goals by offering our expertise in investment, wealth planning, lending and family office services.

We draw on the resources of the Schroders group, as well as having our own in house investment team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investment Research & Strategy
  • Support the development and implementation of Wealth Management's investment strategy.
  • Conduct research and analysis across asset classes, market developments and investment themes.
  • Assist in producing and maintaining clearly articulated investment views.
  • Contribute to investment selection, due diligence and monitoring activities.
  • Support the assessment of economic and market trends and their implications for portfolios.
  • Sustainable Investing
  • Support the integration of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) considerations within the investment process.
  • Assist in evaluating sustainable investment opportunities and associated risks.
  • Contribute to sustainable investment research, reporting and thematic analysis.
  • Maintain awareness of regulatory and industry developments impacting sustainable investing.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
  • Build and maintain relationships with external fund managers, research providers and industry contacts.
  • Collaborate with investment experts across Schroders to leverage the Group's specialist knowledge.
  • Present investment research and recommendations to Portfolio Managers and internal investment forums.
  • Support the communication of investment views and strategy across the Wealth Management business.
  • Team Contribution
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across Investments, Portfolio Management and Wealth Management.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and process efficiencies.
  • Support strategic projects and ad hoc research assignments as required.
  • Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Degree educated or equivalent.
  • Strong analytical and research capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Power Point.
  • Demonstrable interest in financial markets, investment management and sustainable investing.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

Desirable

  • Experience using investment research platforms such as Refinitiv, Lipper or similar.
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled research and productivity tools.
  • Progress towards or attainment of investment qualifications such as IMC, CFA or CAIA.
  • Prior experience within investment management, wealth management or investment research.
