About Schroders

We’re a global investment manager.

We help institutions, intermediaries and individuals around the world invest money to meet their goals, fulfil their ambitions, and prepare for the future.

We have around 5,000 people on six continents.

And we’ve been around for over 200 years, but keep adapting as society and technology changes.

What doesn’t change is our commitment to helping our clients, and society, prosper.

The team

The Business Development Services (BDS) function partners with colleagues across Client Group, Investment Product and other parts of Schroders to grow our client base and service existing investors/consultants.

BDS is comprised of several sub teams including the Central team, which is responsible for the completion of pre-sale tenders (RFPs) and post-sale servicing questionnaires (DDQs).

More broadly, BDS also includes regional teams mirroring the Central team’s function as well as a Consultant & RFP Data team that supports the Consultant channel by maintaining firm and product content on platforms.

What you’ll do

As a RFP/DDQ Specialist, you will apply your knowledge of investment products and Schroders' operations in delivering high-quality responses to clients' requests for information.

You will partner with client-facing and investment team members so that BDS can produce high quality materials effectively.

You will collaborate with specialists across the BDS team responding to DDQs and RFPs, ensuring that the function is working effectively as a team.

  • Support team management with the workflow allocation for client requests, so that all requests are responded to on a timely and efficient basis.
  • Proactively adopt AI tools in daily tasks and share insights to improve processes and outcomes.
  • Provide support to colleagues completing DDQs and other client materials including RFPs, across the global team.
  • Build relations with internal stakeholders to deepen knowledge of the products that you specialise in.
  • Collaborate with content and data teams so that they can support the response to clients' request for information by maintaining relevant content and providing necessary quantitative information.
  • Undertake peer reviews for other team members, ensuring submissions are to the high standard expected for our clients.
  • Contribute to team and wider initiatives.
  • Where appropriate attend Schroders and external events to further your client, industry and product knowledge.
  • Collaborate with the content manager so that response to client requests can be published using the capabilities of our knowledge base.

  • Understanding of DDQs and/or RFPs within asset management.
  • Strong writing skills, numeracy and literacy.
  • Understanding of public markets (e. g. equity, fixed income, multi-asset and solutions) and private markets (e. g. private equity, real estate, infrastructure finance).
  • Good communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience in Microsoft applications (Excel, Power Point, Word, Teams).
  • The knowledge, experience and qualifications that will help
  • Experience working with sales, investment and senior management colleagues.
  • CFA, IMC or other industry qualifications.
