We are seeking an experienced contractor to support a critical programme migrating to an upgraded version of the FactSet B-One performance application. The role will focus on:

  • Reconciliation of positions, transactions, and performance outputs across legacy and target systems
  • Identification, investigation, and resolution of discrepancies
  • Supporting UAT, parallel run, and post go-live stabilisation

The individual will work closely with internal teams and FactSet to ensure outputs are accurate, consistent, and fit for purpose, aligned with defined reconciliation success criteria.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed reconciliation of holdings, transactions, and performance outputs, comparing current vs. upgraded systems
  • Investigate, explain, and resolve discrepancies, ensuring alignment within agreed tolerances
  • Analyse root causes across data, configuration, and calculation logic differences
  • Collaborate with SMEs and internal teams (Product, Technology, Operations) to resolve issues
  • Track, document, and manage issues through structured logs in line with governance standards
  • Support UAT, regression testing, and parallel run validation, including test execution and documentation
  • Assist with evidence collection, audit traceability, and production readiness (entry/exit criteria)
  • Validate completeness and integrity of key data inputs and support data quality control checks
  • Act as a liaison across business, technology, and external project stakeholders, communicating issues and impacts clearly
  • Provide post-go-live support, including issue investigation, monitoring, stabilisation, and continuous improvement

Key Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Strong experience in investment performance measurement / attribution
  • Hands-on experience with Position and transaction reconciliation
  • Experience with data and calculation validation across systems
  • Experience of system migrations, implementations, or parallel runs
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced Excel skills (data analysis / reconciliation)

Desirable

  • Experience with FactSet B-One, Aladdin or similar platforms
  • Knowledge of asset management data flows (ABOR, positions, transactions)
  • Knowledge of performance calculation methodologies
  • Familiarity with SQL / data extraction tools
  • Experience working with system migration
