We are looking for a Fund Finance Manager – French funds/mandates. In this role, the candidate will be responsible for fund finance and operations and supporting valuation governance across Schroders Greencoat funds and mandates, including French and European entities. The candidate will act as a key liaison between the Fund Finance team, the Paris investment team and service providers, supporting robust governance, reporting, audit processes and adherence to Fund, Schroders Greencoat and Schroders Group standards. Fluency in French, both oral and written, is required.
The candidate will join the Fund Finance team within the Schroders Private Market Group in London and will play a critical role in providing fund finance support to the investment team in Paris, ensuring adherence to Fund, Schroders Greencoat and Schroders Group governance.
What you’ll do
- Liaising with and overseeing all activities delivered by the Fund administrators and other service providers
- Manage the production of and review quarterly/annual investor reports, managing the annual audit process
- Manage the process of and reviewing drawdowns & distributions
- Ensure all regulatory, tax and statutory obligations are met and perform reviews, where necessary
- Assist with quarterly valuations process
- Preparing annual budgets / liquidity management
- Weekly meetings with service providers and investment teams
- Attending to investor queries and in coordination with investor relations team
- Co-ordinating and liaising with service providers to ensure all French regulatory and investor reporting requirements are met
- Managing relationships with Funds’ administrators, depositary, auditors, tax advisors etc
- Ensuring compliance with all company secretarial matters
- Perform fund reconciliations and fund performance analytics
- Prepare and/or review payment runs, when necessary
- Quarterly governance and report preparation for each Fund/vehicle
- Ensure adherence to the policies and procedures of the Fund
- Ensure all obligations are logged on Obligations Management site, and are up to date (e.g. reporting dates and regulatory deadlines)
- Monitor compliance with all Fund documentation and agreements
- General administrative duties and projects, as required
Valuation governance support
- Working closely with the non-executive Chair of the Valuation Committee to support the consistent application of valuation policies and procedures, working with investment teams and Fund Finance to coordinate valuation work.
- Support valuation governance and reporting processes, including committee materials, decision records, standardised reporting packs, audit and compliance queries, and liaison with independent valuation adviser.
- Contribute valuation-related updates to the wider business, including in response to investor queries or due diligence, supporting product development and staying abreast of regulatory or sector developments.
The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
- Understanding of closed-ended fund and/or holding structures (real estate or infrastructure), ideally for French assurance investors
- Experience in European, including French, reporting frameworks
- Chartered or certified accountant with a minimum of five years’ post-qualified experience
- Excellent MS office skills (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines
- Good planning and organization
- Great attention to detail
- Fluent in French, oral and written
