The Client Solutions & Product Manager role is central to FGC’s mission to be the leading provider of multi-private assets solutions to the UK pensions market. The role bridges a number of functions to deliver pensions clients with the solutions, expertise and content they need to navigate private markets. The role works across a number of key stakeholders:

  • Schroders Client Group
  • Schroders Capital Marketing
  • Standard Life
  • Phoenix Group
  • FGC investment team

With the objective of delivering FGC’s capabilities to its partners and clients.

Future Growth Capital (FGC) is a joint venture between Phoenix Group, the UK’s leading long-term savings and retirement business and Schroders, the UK’s leading asset manager. The business is based at 1 London Wall Place. The FGC mission is to deliver on the objectives of the Mansion House Compact and Accord by unlocking global private markets for UK pension savers by building multi-private assets solutions. In so doing we aim to generate the higher investment returns pension savers need to improve their retirement outcomes, and contribute to economic growth in the economy.

The Future Growth Capital team is an experienced investment team focusing on delivering performance via two multi-private assets solutions, and in designing bespoke solutions for clients. The team combines private markets strategy and solutions expertise, direct deal capabilities and external manager selection. In addition to the investment team, the business includes a senior management team (CEO, CFO/COO etc), client solutions and marketing.

Key Responsibilities

The role will work with a wide range of stakeholders to contribute to the commercial success of FGC. The role combines activity across a number of client-centric areas, including:

  • Client facing materials – pitchbooks, sales aids, RFP’s, DDQ, data room, market research.
  • Thought leadership – coordinating and contributing to white papers.
  • Direct client engagement with consultants, pension schemes and trustees, on-line, in-person and at conferences – operating with a client-centric and solutions mindset to partner with clients in private markets.
  • Work with the marketing & PR teams on activity to grow the profile of FGC.
  • Working closely with the Standard Life team – across the sales, pension proposition team, marketing and PR teams to deliver FGC’s capabilities to the Standard Life business and its clients.

The role has a focus on preparing and delivering high-quality presentations, proposals and reports to clients, consultants, and internal committees, in written form and verbally. The role will support ongoing client relationship management, including periodic reviews and client update meetings. It will be important to stay current with UK pensions industry trends, as well as regulatory changes impacting private markets. In this role you will need to maintain accurate documentation, workflows, and compliance with regulatory requirements. In addition, when executing client mandates you will need to coordinate with investment teams, structuring, legal, and client directors to ensure solutions are implemented and monitored effectively.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Qualified to degree level or equivalent is preferred
  • Progress towards or completion of a relevant professional qualification (e.g., CFA, CAIA, MBA) desirable
  • Experience in working directly with clients
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks for institutional investors in the UK
  • Prior experience at a leading asset manager, consultancy, or investment bank preferred
