Data Management Specialist
Location: London
Type: Contract 12 months (extension possible)
Role Purpose
Support the adoption and implementation of Schroders Capital\'s data governance and data quality frameworks across all Private Markets asset classes. The role acts as a facilitator and enabler - driving consistency, alignment, and quality without owning day-to-day data operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the adoption of data governance principles, processes, and standards across asset classes.
- Lead and facilitate workshops to define data dictionaries, business definitions, and business rules.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and data stewards to identify and resolve data quality issues.
- Support the design and initial implementation of data quality monitoring, coordinate follow-up actions with business teams.
- Promote data literacy and awareness of data ownership across the organization.
Profile / Requirements
- Proven experience (5+ years) in data governance or data quality management in a financial-services environment; exposure to private markets preferred.
- Strong facilitation and stakeholder-management skills, comfortable engaging with senior business leaders.
- Good understanding of data management principles (data ownership, lineage, quality, metadata).
- Familiarity with Collibra Catalogue , Collibra DQ , Power BI , and Tableau .
- Familiarity with eFront is desirable.
- Solid technical understanding (but not necessarily hands-on developer skills).
- Fluent in English; German or French a plus.
