We’re looking for an experienced Compliance Specialist to join our Group Compliance team. You’ll play a key role in aligning the compliance framework, supporting the teams across Schroder’s asset management. You will work closely with senior management and collaborate with colleagues across the business, engaging in a variety of activities including monitoring, training, horizon scanning, and the implementation of new regulations. You will also contribute to compliance-related strategic projects and play a key role in maintaining high standards of governance and regulatory excellence.
The base: Our HQ is in the City of London. We’re close to our clients, in the heart of the UK’s financial centre and we have everything we need to work flexibly.
The team: You’ll join a collaborative, global Compliance function, working across both Private and Public Markets Compliance teams and partnering with colleagues across the UK, US, and EMEA.
What You’ll Do:
- Act as a trusted business partner, providing expert advice on regulatory requirements and ensuring robust monitoring and reporting of regulatory obligations.
- Identify, assess, and interpret relevant regulations, including engagement with regulators where necessary.
- Develop, implement, review, and refresh internal compliance policies and procedures to ensure alignment with regulatory expectations and Schroders’ group standards.
- Design and deliver targeted compliance training programmes for business stakeholders, supporting the ongoing development of a strong compliance culture.
- Collaborate on compliance matters with colleagues in overseas offices, fostering a cohesive and consistent approach across the group.
- Contribute to the delivery of thematic reviews and other key compliance initiatives.

- Proven experience in a compliance role within asset management.
- Comprehensive knowledge of relevant regulations.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills, with the confidence to build strong relationships and effectively challenge first-line teams.
- Highly developed analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities, with meticulous attention to detail and the capability to communicate complex information clearly at all levels.
- Proactive and solutions-focused approach to supporting complex transactions and new product launches.
- Demonstrable ability to work cross-functionally, demonstrating resilience, adaptability, and a strong commitment to high standards.
