You will take a proactive role alongside the Portfolio Manager in delivering excellent client service.

You’ll be busy, hands-on and can-do. You will develop deep technical knowledge of our processes and systems and work across the business to challenge, develop and improve our processes and foster a wider understanding. You will be a 'go-to' person for colleagues at all levels across the business.

At Cazenove Capital we look after private individuals, families and charities. We are the wealth management business of the FTSE-listed global investment manager Schroders. We help our clients around the world invest money to meet their goals, fulfil their ambitions, and prepare for the future.

We’re a global investment manager. We help institutions, intermediaries and individuals around the world invest money to meet their goals, fulfil their ambitions, and prepare for the future. We have around 6,000 people on six continents and we’ve been around for over 200 years, but keep adapting as society and technology changes. What doesn’t change is our commitment to helping our clients, and society, prosper.

The base moved into our new HQ in the City of London in 2018. We’re close to our clients, in the heart of the UK’s financial centre and we have everything we need to work flexibly.

We are one of the largest UK-based wealth management firms, headquartered in London but with offices around the country. We help private clients, families, charities and some institutions meet their long term goals by offering our expertise in investment, wealth planning, lending and family office services. We draw on the resources of the Schroders group, as well as having our own in-house investment team.

What you’ll do:

  • Work closely with Portfolio Managers and Directors and have a comprehensive understanding of the needs of the clients you are working with; be a valued contributor to developing relationships of trust.
  • Handle administrative duties promptly for our clients, such as cash transfer requests and monitoring overdrafts.
  • Set up accounts for new clients.
  • Help to ensure client accounts are compliant and in-keeping with current regulation and procedures.
  • Be a point of contact for clients and professional advisers: react to all enquiries in a timely manner and maintain a record of responses.
  • Have regular communication with the client team to discuss client queries.
  • Help team members complete and distribute client reports, such as portfolio valuations and tax reports, particularly at the end of the quarter.
  • You may be asked to contribute to business-wide client service and internal process committees. You will build a strong internal network and have a good understanding of the key client service issues affecting the business.
  • Work closely with our Operations teams to make our clients' experience seamless.
  • You may be asked to attend client meetings with Portfolio Managers & Directors.
  • Take responsibility for systems’ training, testing and improving internal processes.
  • Have excellent technical knowledge and the experience to highlight and share best practice throughout the business when required. You should be comfortable challenging the status quo when appropriate.
  • Mentor less experienced colleagues and be involved with training.
  • Embody the core Schroders’ values of Excellence, Innovation, Teamwork, Passion and Integrity in all aspects of your work.

The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need:

  • Excellent IT skills, especially with the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience of client service.
  • A keen interest in helping our clients and their families.
  • Excellent communication skills and an ability to multi-task.
  • Previous experience of collaboration and teamwork.

What you’ll be like:

  • A really good communicator – great at listening, being clear and giving reassurance.
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic.
  • Good at working in a team, and with other teams.
  • You’ll have great attention to detail.
  • Able to work under pressure and with tight deadlines.
  • Show a willingness to learn and develop and a desire to work with your colleagues to achieve excellent client outcomes.

We recognise potential, whoever you are. Our purpose is to provide excellent investment performance to clients through active management. Diversity of thought, facilitated by an inclusive culture, will allow us to make better decisions and better achieve our purpose.
