We are looking for a Third Party Custody (TPC) Analyst 1 to join our Wealth Management Operations team. You will ensure timely processing of transactions and reconciliation of TPC accounts, investigate and resolve position discrepancies between internal and external accounts. You will keep track of open items / breaks and monitor them through to completion. Your experience will allow you to independently carry out processes, whilst also working with the team, as well as challenge current processes to ensure continuous development by helping create and implement enhancements to processes / systems.

The programme: You will join Schroders as a permanent employee and start your career in our Operations Academy, which currently runs for 18-24 months. During this time you will study for your CISI Level 3 - Investment Operations Certificate, learn on the job and have access to a wide range of soft skill training courses.
Investment20/20: You will join as an Operations Academy Trainee as part of the Investment20/20 programme, you will have opportunities to meet and network with trainees across the industry and participate in training, socials and insight events.
What you'll do:
- Process bookings of all transactions reported by the custodians or upon receipt of trade confirmations
- Reconcile custodian data and internal system data according to defined frequency
- Work through extremely high volumes, prioritise and manage workloads
- Troubleshoot any discrepancy arising from transaction processing, adjusting positions where required
- Document and monitor reconciliation breaks
- Own assigned custodians, process data manually and via an automation tool
- Ensure portfolio valuations are up to date and prices are accurate
- Create and maintain client mandates, securities, accounts, FX and other instruments
- Process Corporate Actions and transactions for model portfolios
- Manage the team mailbox, ensuring items are allocated and processed
- Maintain assigned procedure documentation and controls
- Provide support to all operational and Global Wealth teams
The knowledge, experience and qualifications that’ll help:
- Any experience which demonstrates good communication, analytical skills, and working well within a team environment.
- Keenness to innovate and improve processes.
- Experience of prioritising workload, demonstrating a keen eye for detail, problem solving and confidence in communicating.
- Being organised and taking the initiative.
- You must be at least 18 years old by the start date of the programme to apply for the advertised intake.
- You will need to study for your CISI Level 3 - Investment Operations Certificate outside of normal office hours.
- After your initial training, you have the option to work from home as well as in our office. Minimum expectation is 60% of the week working in our office.
