We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Fund Dealing Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate execution of fund orders. You will troubleshoot issues and ensure the smooth implementation of investment strategies across various funds and portfolios, where your attention to detail and commitment to meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment will be vital.

What you’ll do
- Place fund subscriptions, redemptions, and switches in a timely manner, including Third Party Custody and Private Unit Trust orders.
- Understand and complete Hedge Fund subscription as well as Limited Partnership documents independently.
- Monitor pending fund orders, follow up on outstanding trades, and resolve settlement issues with counterparties.
- Control incoming and outgoing fund payments, providing accurate payment instructions to the internal payment department.
- Resolve dealing-related inquiries promptly and double-check incoming orders to prevent financial risk.
- Collaborate with the cash reconciliation and trade processing teams to resolve any cash and stock breaks originating from Fund Execution orders, providing regular updates throughout.
- Ensure immediate attention is given to placement errors, eliminating the possibility of greater loss and market exposure.
- Proactively manage client and stakeholder queries, maintaining quality and timely communication.
- Utilise department controls and procedures honestly and effectively, taking steps to escalate potential problems in a timely manner.
- Suggest ideas to save time and cost, reduce risk, and improve service quality.
- Collaborate with others to help build a positive and supportive working environment.
- Prioritise workload according to risk or deadlines and contribute to departmental and company initiatives and projects.
- Ensure all procedure guides are kept up to date and stored in the correct location.
The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
- Several years of experience in Fund Execution.
- Strong aptitudes for numeracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced office environment.
- Good at analysing and solving problem with a strong handle on operational risk.
- Pro-active and effective in managing your own time with ability to prioritise tasks appropriately.
- Open to feedback, receptive to change, challenges existing processes and continually looks out for team and self-improvement opportunities.
- Proficient in basic software notably Excel.
