b Overview /b p In this role, you lead second-line financial crime oversight for Schroders Wealth Management, guiding advisory, challenge and governance across AML, sanctions, fraud and related risk areas. This is a chance to shape financial crime oversight for a major wealth business, contributing to prudent risk management and governance. /p b Pay / Benefits /b ul li flexible working arrangements /li li equal opportunities employer /li li accommodations for neurodiversity or health needs /li /ul b Responsibilities /b ul li Provide ongoing financial crime advice and guidance to the business, manage queries and escalation channels /li li Triangulate issues by severity and define ownership, deadlines and escalation routes /li li Review and escalate significant financial crime matters including fraud, sanctions and high-risk indicators /li li Document issue reports with root cause, KRI impacts and remediation approaches /li li Oversee high-risk client relationships, onboarding, trigger events and annual reviews /li li Challenge inputs and approvals for high-risk client matters ensuring consistency with policy and risk appetite /li li Support development of risk-based escalation criteria for high-risk client matters /li li Support annual, ad hoc and periodic regulatory reporting and submissions /li li Assist with information gathering for regulatory reports, inquiries and attestations /li li Maintain Financial Crime framework across key risk types and align activity with policy standards /li li Review first-line procedures for alignment with policies and regulatory expectations /li li Maintain policy inventories, ownership and review cycles /li li Contribute to second-line assurance of first-line controls through thematic reviews and risk assessments /li li Define risk-based financial crime oversight plan covering AML, sanctions, fraud and related risks /li li Produce dashboards and governance materials with trends, KPIs and remediation status /li li Provide risk-based commentary on themes, incidents and emerging risks for governance forums /li li Support annual financial crime risk assessments and update risk mapping for Wealth Management /li li Design and deliver targeted financial crime training for Wealth Management audiences /li li Update induction and role-based training; track attendance and escalate non-completion /li li Issue learning briefings following incidents or regulatory updates /li li Support awareness and governance around financial crime risks across the business /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li Strong understanding of financial crime risks in Wealth Management (AML, CTF, sanctions, fraud, bribery, tax evasion, proliferation financing) /li li Experience in second-line compliance, advisory, oversight, assurance or monitoring /li li Ability to challenge first-line teams while maintaining constructive stakeholder relationships /li li Experience preparing MI for Boards, committees or senior management with risk-based commentary /li li Familiarity with client due diligence, enhanced due diligence, PEPs and sanctions screening processes /li li Experience supporting regulatory reporting, risk assessments or training delivery /li li unknown education level or degree requirements /li /ul ul li excellent stakeholder management /li li strong communication and advisory capabilities /li li ability to provide practical, risk-based challenge /li li AML/CTF /li li sanctions screening /li li fraud risk management /li /ul
