We are looking for an Investment Product Analyst to join initially the Thematic then the EM Equities Product teams based in London. The Product teams support the investment teams and their Investment Directors with the product management of individual strategies. The role will be full time and based in London.

About Schroders: We are a global investment manager, responsible for $1,*****bn of assets for our clients, who trust us to deliver sustainable returns. We help institutions, intermediaries and individuals around the world invest money to meet their goals, fulfil their ambitions, and prepare for the future. We have around 5,000 people on six continents and we have been around for over 200 years but keep adapting as society and technology changes. What doesn’t change is our commitment to helping our clients, and society, prosper.

The team: As an Investment Product Analyst, you act as the link between investment and client-facing teams, helping to communicate and position our product range effectively. Our goal is to uphold high standards across all investment product materials – supporting existing clients, driving new business opportunities, and contributing to the evolution of the product offering. The successful candidate will initially join a Thematic Product team of 3, supporting the broader Thematic Equities investment team, which manages approximately USD 10 billion across a range of global thematic strategies. The successful candidate will get the opportunity to contribute to the team’s continued success and gain exposure to a diverse set of investment themes as part of the dynamic Schroder Thematic Equities platform. The candidate would then work as part of a team of 4 IPAs supporting the Emerging Markets Investment Directors (London & NY) and the wider EM Investment team.

What you’ll do: In this role, you will support the investment director by producing high-quality materials and product analysis to support the investment and client group teams in their communications with both existing and prospective clients. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, proactive and detail orientated and has the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. You should be adaptable and able to work both collaboratively and independently. Key tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Preparation of high-quality client material – including presentations, new-business pitch decks, client reports and marketing material as required by liaising with the investment director, investment teams and other internal partners.
  • Deliver client-focused RFPs, RFIs and DDQs in collaboration with global Business Development teams to agreed timeframes. This includes writing and maintaining product language and data in RFP & consultant databases.
  • Support business growth and servicing of existing clients by responding to product and portfolio-related queries in a timely and helpful manner drawing on investment teams for support.
  • Production of accurate and effective written content to be used in investment reports, marketing material and client requests ensuring consistency and clarity of product messaging.
  • Maintaining core product data in area(s) of expertise/responsibility ensuring accuracy across internal systems & sites, databases and platforms, and proactively updating information as needed.
  • Assisting with portfolio and market analysis as required (performance, attribution and risk analytics, macroeconomic data, market trends, competitor analysis).
  • Involvement with strategic projects and initiatives, such as new product development, product enhancement, competitor analysis and thought leadership as needed by the investment director or investment teams.

The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need: A strong interest in financial markets, sustainability and the asset management industry, with previous exposure preferred. Excellent written communication and quantitative skills. Ability to synthesise information across products and identify where efficiency or consistency can be achieved. Strong IT skills essential, proficiency in Microsoft office suite (Excel & Powerpoint).

What you’ll be like: Highly organised with the ability to manage tight deadlines and multiple competing priorities. Thorough, accurate and excellent attention to detail. Able to work independently with minimal direction, while also actively contributing to a team environment. Demonstrates a growth and learning mindset, actively seeking opportunities for development and continuous improvement. Creative thinker and writer, able to articulate investment strategies in a clear and engaging way.

The knowledge, experience and qualifications that will help: IMC/CFA/CFA ESG (or equivalent) desirable but not required. Familiarity with FactSet, Aladdin, Refinitiv Workspace, Morningstar/eVestment, Seismic, Qvidian and Tableau would be useful.
