Role Overview

The role will work with a wide range of stakeholders to contribute to the commercial success of FGC, combining client‑centric activities such as producing pitchbooks, sales aids, RFPs, DDQs, data rooms, and market research. It also involves thought‑leadership, coordinating white papers, and direct engagement with consultants, pension schemes, trustees, and stakeholders at conferences and online. The role works closely with marketing & PR teams, Standard Life team members, and the FGC investment team to deliver FGC's capabilities to partners and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver high‑quality presentations, proposals, and reports to clients, consultants, and internal committees in written and verbal form.
  • Support ongoing client relationship management, including periodic reviews and client update meetings.
  • Stay current with UK pensions industry trends and regulatory changes impacting private markets.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, workflows, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate client mandates with investment teams, structuring, legal, and client directors to ensure effective implementation and monitoring.
  • Show initiative, manage projects, and work under tight deadlines in a dynamic, cross‑functional environment.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Qualified to degree level or equivalent (preferred).
  • Progress towards or completion of a relevant professional qualification (e.g., CFA, CAIA, MBA) desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with confidence presenting to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Understanding of private asset classes and familiarity with regulatory frameworks for institutional investors in the UK.
  • Client‑centric mindset and experience in project / proposal management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within cross‑functional teams and adapt in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience in working directly with clients and prior experience at a leading asset manager, consultancy, or investment bank preferred.
