Job Description
We are looking for an accountant to join our Service Centre accounting team to provide financial and management information services for our Schroders Wealth Management entities worldwide.
The Service centre accounting team manages the financial reporting requirements for our Wealth Management subsidiaries. The role reports into the Head of Service Centre Accounting. You will be part of a team of seven, managing the accounting for five of our Wealth management subsidiaries and Global Wealth management AUM reporting.
You will be a accounting subject matter expert for your entity, ensuring accurate financial information and financial reporting to the wider finance teams and other stakeholders.

What you\’ll do
- Responsible for the daily controls of one of our Wealth entities income statement, balance sheet and off-balance sheet transactions.
- Supporting the business with ad-hoc requests.
- Participation in projects as they arise.
- All related financial analysis and reporting activities.
- Input loans, expenses and all other types of general accounting transaction and initiate the related payments.
- All Group reporting submissions and disclosures related to your entity.
- Produce monthly account reconciliations.
- Production of the annual statutory financial statements.
- Liaise with the wider finance teams and local offices.
- Ensure SLA KPIs and Group reporting deadlines are met.
- Act as back-up to other Company accountants.
- Produce and maintain standardised procedure documentation.
The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
- Qualified or part qualified accountant.
- Skilled and experienced MS Office user (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook);
- Management Studio experience to query SQL based information would be beneficial.
- Systems literacy
- Experience with using ledger accounting systems essential, and knowledge of Oracle Financials would be beneficial.
- Experience in core banking system T24 Temenos beneficial.
- Financial services experience beneficial.
- Client orientation with focus on timely delivery.
- Effective in managing your own time with ability to prioritise tasks.
- Open to feedback, receptive to change, challenges status quo and continually looks out for team and self-improvement opportunities.
