The purpose of this role is to translate Wealth Management business priorities, strategy and culture into a clear, joined‑up communications approach for both internal and external audiences. The role will develop and deliver compelling communications that engage colleagues globally, reinforce a strong internal narrative, and ensure our external profile, positioning and media engagement are aligned with our brand and reputation ambitions. This will span all areas of the business, including investment, wealth planning, charity, sustainability and private assets, ensuring clarity, consistency and credibility across regions.

What you’ll do

  • Create, own and implement the global internal communications strategy.
  • Lead internal campaigns and messaging linked to strategy, performance, culture and transformation.
  • Collaborate with our internal copy writers, marketing and events teams to support delivery of high-quality communications across channels.
  • Produce content across all internal channels with clear audience segmentation and prioritisation.
  • Create and manage a weekly global internal newsletter from the Wealth Management CEO.
  • Lead twice‑weekly morning meetings with front‑office teams to ensure alignment, clarity and engagement.
  • Work with the wealth transformation manager to shape and deliver change communications for Wealth Management’s change communications programme.
  • Work with the Head of Marketing in the Channel Islands, Switzerland and Singapore offices to set the internal communications framework and provide guidance and support, ensuring consistency with local nuance.
  • Work with wider Schroders Group on internal comms alignment.
  • Own the external communications and PR strategy for Wealth Management, aligned to the brand and reputation objectives.
  • Manage our luxury PR agency, setting clear direction, priorities and measures of success.
  • Oversee PR outputs, media positioning and reputation management.
  • Manage media enquiries and interactions, including reactive and issues-led communications.
  • Ensure external communications reinforce internal narratives and strategic priorities.
  • Act as the senior communications lead for Wealth Management, partnering closely with the CEO, ExCo, HR, Marketing and regional leadership teams.
  • Provide strategic communications counsel to senior stakeholders, anticipating reputational risk and opportunity.
  • Team player, working with senior leaders, HR and regional teams to prioritise, align and deliver communications effectively across markets.

The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need

  • Significant senior ‑ level communications experience, with deep expertise in internal communications.
  • Strong FS / wealth management understanding or experience operating in a similarly regulated environment.
  • Experience translating complex strategy into clear, compelling communications.
  • PR agency management and media engagement experience ideal.

What you’ll be like

  • Strategic, collaborative, confident communications counsellor and strong storyteller.
  • Self‑motivated and enthusiastic, comfortable operating with autonomy.
  • Flexible, highly curious and willing to learn.
  • A critical thinker who’s able to look at stories and pick out key messages.
  • Excellent written and verbal English skills, understanding how nuance and tone can influence communications.
  • Able to work under pressure, on several priorities at once, and to tight deadlines.
  • Great at working with other people, sharing and communicating decisions with clarity and authority.
