We’re looking for a Credit Analyst to join the EMEA Credit Research team in London. Responsible for fundamental credit research into bonds and loans from European corporate issuers as directed by research management. Experience covering the utilities sector would be an advantage.

Responsibilities:

  • The basis of the role is to analyse and understand the business, financial and sustainability risk profiles of the companies under coverage, as well as the legal structure of their debt securities.
  • An overall assessment of risk and valuation of these factors will be communicated to the Schroders credit PMs using our proprietary framework.
  • The successful candidate will work as part of a team with the entire desk to deliver alpha‑generating investment ideas for clients.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in a single name investment environment.
  • Proven investment and/or financial analysis experience at the corporate entity level.
  • A strong academic record, most likely a first degree or upper‑second with postgraduate degree and/or demonstrated progress through the CFA system.
  • Demonstrated research capability in educational history and/or previous work experience.
