Location: Cardiff (hybrid). Type: Permanent. Salary: £65,000 – £80,000+ (depending on experience) plus uncapped performance-related bonus. An exceptional opportunity for experienced advisers — combining the scale of the UK’s biggest banking group, unmatched client access and the autonomy to deliver holistic advice. At Schroders Personal Wealth, soon to become Lloyds Wealth, you’ll join a business with the reach, referral strength and investment in advice to help established advisers grow a substantial client book without starting from scratch. As a Personal Wealth Adviser, you believe that financial planning starts by understanding each client’s unique story, their goals and the life they want to build. You’ll deliver holistic, client-led financial advice to new and existing clients, both face-to-face and virtually, taking the time to build a personalised financial plan that reflects their aspirations and adapts as their life evolves. We’ll expect you to use cash flow modelling and financial planning tools to provide clear, insightful advice.
This is not a cold-start position. You’ll have the backing of the largest banking group in the UK as you utilise a range of business development strategies and expertise to proactively explore the market to onboard new clients, including servicing a constant flow of leads from the wider Lloyds Banking Group, without sacrificing the quality of advice. You’ll be supported by robust systems and infrastructure so you can spend more time advising clients.
Responsibilities
- Deliver holistic, client-led financial advice to new and existing clients, both face-to-face and virtually, using cash flow modelling and financial planning tools to provide clear, insightful recommendations.
- Proactively explore the market to onboard new clients, leveraging leads from the wider Lloyds Banking Group while maintaining high-quality advice.
- Own the end-to-end advisory process from initial consultation to ongoing review, supported by robust systems and infrastructure.
What You’ll Bring
- Level 4 Diploma qualified (Chartered / Level 6 welcome but not essential).
- A strong track record of delivering holistic financial advice.
- Experience building lasting client relationships and generating repeat/referral business.
- Confidence in conducting client meetings and creating tailored financial plans.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, including Consumer Duty.
- Experience using cashflow modelling to support robust advice recommendations.

Schroders Personal Wealth operates under the Senior Managers and Certification Regime as a solo-regulated firm.
