Responsible for freezer store operations, stock control, and team supervision.

About the Role

Based at County Enterprise Foods, S81 7DW, working 37 hours per week, you will play a key role in the day to day operation of the freezer stores. This is a physical, hands on role where you will ensure stock is managed effectively, orders are picked accurately and all food safety standards are maintained. You will also oversee a small team of 2-3 colleagues, ensuring tasks are completed safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Freezer management: opening, checking and monitoring freezer temperatures to ensure compliance.
  • Stock control: managing, rotating and recording stock accurately using spreadsheets.
  • Order picking: ensuring all orders are picked correctly and on time.
  • Team supervision: supporting and coordinating a small team to meet operational needs.
  • Health and safety: maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety and organisation within freezer areas.
  • Communication: liaising with multiple teams to ensure smooth day to day operations.
  • Covering for the Dry Stores person (when on leave).
  • Weighing up ingredients in line with production requirements.
  • Receiving goods in, checking deliveries and ensuring accurate storage.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a stores, warehouse or catering environment is desirable.
  • Previous experience supervising or leading a small team is advantageous.
  • Physically fit and comfortable working in a freezer environment.
  • Basic IT skills, confident using spreadsheets for stock control.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills, able to liaise with different teams effectively.
  • Level 3 Food Safety qualification, or willingness to work towards this.
