We are seeking an experienced Tree Inspector to support the management of Walsall Council's tree stock and Urban Forestry programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out inspections of the council's tree inventory.
- Assess tree risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
- Update tree management systems and records.
- Issue work orders to internal teams and external contractors.
- Support tree risk management, woodland surveys, and management plans.
- Provide arboricultural advice to stakeholders, colleagues, and the public.
- Ensure enquiries and urgent tree work requests are dealt with promptly.
Requirements
- Level 2 Arboricultural qualification or above (essential).
- Experience in tree inspection, arboriculture, or urban forestry.
- Knowledge of tree risk assessment and management.
- Strong report writing, communication, and organisational skills.
- Experience using tree management software such as Ezytreev or similar is desirable.
