Job Description:
Trainee Management Accountant
Location: Nottingham
Hours: 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday (08:30 – 17:00)
Salary: £25,000 – £29,000 per annum
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee Management Accountant to join our finance team in Nottingham. This is a great opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced and supportive environment, working closely with both finance and operational colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support operational managers in tracking spending and monitoring financial performance.
- Analyse and report on financial results across a variety of business areas.
- Assist with preparation and posting of journals as part of monthly accounts.
- Prepare monthly P&L accounts for school catering contracts.
- Reconcile sales across different systems (D365 and Daboom).
- Provide transaction reports and analysis for senior managers.
- Support financial planning, budgeting, and cost analysis activities.
- Take ownership of personal development and stay up to date with finance systems.
- Assist with ad hoc finance projects as required.
Desired Skills:
- AAT Level 3 (or higher) qualified.
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
