Opus Teach is a supply agency based in Ipswich, wholly owned by Suffolk County Council. We are recruiting two Teaching Assistants for a mainstream primary school in Bury St Edmunds, which serves pupils, some of whom have SEN. The role is temporary: start September 2026, end July 2027. Working days are Monday‑Friday.

Responsibilities

  • The Teaching Assistant will support classroom teachers and assist pupils, including those with SEN, by providing a reliable, professional presence in the school.

Requirements

  • Keen interest in working with children and passion for education.
  • Previous teaching or classroom experience (advantageous but not essential).
  • Up‑to‑date enhanced DBS (if not available, please get in touch).
  • Professional references from previous employment.
